A core fundamental of Scouting is community service. Pack 152 believes in teaching the value of community service through a variety of projects. We host at least one service project per quarter.
Scouting for Food
Once a year, our pack participates in the Scouting for Food drive. This occurs in November / December time frame and aims to collect food donations and bring to a local distribution site. The Scouts help in this program by collecting food donations and helping sort the food into per-family boxes. This helps ensure that as many families as possible in the area are able to have a warm, healthy holiday meal for their families.
Litter Pick Ups
Pack 152 does a quarterly litter pick up at a local park. Our pack has ‘adopted’ the Cedar Fork District Park, which routinely hosts community activities, soccer games, and is an active hiking/biking trail.
Scouts are encouraged to join and are provided with litter pick up tools, gloves and trash bags for the activity. Each pick up take a little over an hour.
